Located right off Highway 42 West in Clayton, NC near Johnston Medical center, Redemption Community Church is a church plant launching this Fall 2024. Our plant is the product of the calling and movement of God, and we’re putting all our hope and trust in Him and His plan. We believe all people are in need of Redemption through Jesus, and we feel called to plant this church to point people to Him.
Redemption is an authentic, friendly, and relational group of people who are excited about loving, serving, and reaching our community with the love of Jesus. Our revitalized church building has been in this community for many years, so we’re excited about the blend of contemporary and traditional that make up who we are.
Redemption has the benefit of having a solid sending church (Northside Community Church in Knightdale) who we possess a close relationship with. Though both churches are autonomous from one another, we share the bond of a love for Christ and the people in our communities.

It is imperative that in the essentials we find unity; in the non-essentials we find liberty; in both we find charity [love].
– St. Augustine
The Bible is the inspired and definitive Word of God and the final authority in all matters of faith and practice. There is one God, eternally existent in three Persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. God is all-knowing, all-powerful, just, merciful, wise, unchangeable and gracious. Jesus Christ is the Son of God – fully divine and fully human. He was born of a virgin, perfect in His person and eternal in His being.
Humankind was created in the image of God and was originally without sin. Through the sin of Adam and Eve, all of humankind are now sinners by nature and thereby separated from God by their sin. Jesus Christ died on a cross to rescue us from our helpless state – paying the ultimate penalty for our sin. He was buried, rose from the dead on the third day, ascended into Heaven and now sits at God’s right hand on our behalf.
The Church consists of those who believe in Christ for their salvation, and in doing so, inherit eternal life being sealed by the Holy Spirit. Salvation is a work of God’s grace. As a result, believers are released from relying on their own abilities and merits to earn acceptance from God. The miracle of God’s grace frees believers to love others as Christ loves them. This love leads to unity, eternal security, a greater knowledge of Christ and the use of our gifts for the benefit of the Church.
